One step into this tavern and the smell of alcohol and the faint scent of spicy sausages permeates the air. The small tavern echoes clinking glasses and boisterous laughter. It is dark and cold despite the fireplace near the stairs and the few torches littering the walls. There are a few empty seats at the bar counter but there are a couple of tables not in use, so there is a decent amount of seating arrangements available for the taking with their own dim candles. At least you'd be able to see the other people at your own table clearly even if most of the room is cast in shadow.
Behind the counter is a tall, dark, and lanky mewah stood. His brown hair was short and scruffy. Scars peppered one side of his face and his long pointy ears are missing chunks out of them. The barkeep only has a single visible hazel eye and it is set in a permanent glare, accented only by his bushy eyebrows, his other covered by a patch. There is a dagger strapped to his hip. He is consistently seen scrubbing the various dishes that stuck out of the sink, making his left-handedness obvious. There is a permanent scowl on his face and his one good eye was scanning the room non-stop, as if looking for someone to start a fight or break the law in his tavern so he could kick them out. Even when he is being addressed, his attention was still mostly on the tavern floor, barely sparing a glance at whoever is brave enough to drag him into a brief social interaction.Should he be asked about his scars and missing eye, he'll be blunt and to the point: "Shipwreck". Asking his name would be inviting a glare and no answer but whispers and small talk provides the answer for you: His name is Bolavio Puveral. You don't know why he doesn't like telling people and if you dare to question him on his decision, or even ask for his middle name, his only reply would be "Witches". Some people understand where he's coming from, but others are left confused at such an answer. It was clear he was not a talker.
You look past Bolavio at the setup behind the bar. In the far left corner is a large cask, its contents unknown. Next to it is rack full of bottles- alcoholic beverages of many brands ranging from wines to whiskeys. There are much smaller casks, the kind that have small spouts for direct pouring, laying on a sink counter, surrounded by clean dishes. Bowls, plates, mugs, the works. A window above the sink provides a grim view of the retched weather outside. There is a wooden board with crudely painted menu items hanging next to the window, just before the stove, and on the right wall is a line of hanging tankards.
Drinks
For those who want to work with Bolavio or want to try to do some shady things without getting caught, there is a storage area for food and water in the upper right corner. There is a sewer grate beneath a table so be careful not to drop any of his food down there. There is a door near the barrel of water that leads straight into a forest within Inner Pagoma. This door is normally locked when not in use and Bolavio and anyone who works with him would be the ones to have a key for it.
