Joining and Forum Features

I can’t figure out how to create an account on the forums. I clicked the Register button and it says Registration is disabled. How do I join?
I’m sorry but if you see that message then we are currently closed. However, there is still a way to join if you’re a Patreon or Construction Crew member. On discord, send me a direct message containing the email address that you would like to create an account on the forums with. I will send a personal invite to the forums to that email. From there you can create an account.

When will you open the forums outside of Patreon members and the Construction Crew?

As soon as I’ve got the Sil’nyy officially released on the forums (and update the other races to match), the doors to open an account with us will finally unlock without needing to donate to Patreon. However, the Patreon will still need donations as we have loads of events, merchandise, and lore that are planned to release and we need money to pay our hard workers.

I want to join your forum role play but I don’t know where to start.

Register to our forums. The register button is in the upper-right corner of our webpage.
Login and activate your account (you should have received an email).
Read our Terms of Service and Roleplay Rules.
Submit your first character. Click on Character Application Forms. All you need to know to fill out the info is there. The hardest part is picking what race, class, profession, and magic study you want your character to have. Once you've finished filling out the appropriate form, submit it here.
If you have received a review from either me or the Lore Enforcers, you need to make changes to the profile according to the suggestions given. When your character has been accepted, you'll receive a Private Message on the forums and your character will be added to the Character Roster.

I can’t register! Either the forums won’t let me or I can’t see the Register button in the top-right corner of the web-page!
This is most likely because we’re under construction. Watch over our FaceBook page or our DeviantArt group to see when we’re open again.

Character Creation

Is there a restriction on how small or large I can make the mark of the dragon?

Nope! Cover the whole body if you want to. I dare you.

Can my character be of nobility? Like a Lord or Baron?
Yes. And feel free to exercise classism if that’s in-character for them. Ruling parties (depending on the race) are off-limits. In the future, we may free up spaces for people to rule, regardless of the roleplayer's status on our forums. If you plan on ruling a domain, you can always purchase a Personal Quarters and turn it into an optional village for people to create their own homes and shops in or you can obtain a Guilds License and create a guild to rule over.

I was reading someone’s character profile and I realized it was really overpowered and/or didn’t follow the lore of the forums.
Please relay your concerns to the Lore Enforcers. They handle that kind of stuff for our forums.

My character has been removed from submissions and now I can’t find them!

If it broke the PG-13 rule it will have been deleted.
It may have been moved to the Declined Characters forum and may need tweaking on your end. Look for a Private Message on the forums from me or the Lore Enforcers for more information.
It’s probably in the midst of being put on the Character Roster. Here’s your early congrats: Congrats.

Roleplay and Lore

How does teleportation work? Is there a set destination or can those who use runes to teleport be able to do it anywhere?

There are multiple TP (Teleportation Points) in every main city that people can teleport to if they have teleportation scrolls. The TP spans a whole 20 feet in every direction (a perfect circle) where the person can appear. These TP are often located next to important or frequently used buildings (such as Town Halls, Arenas, etc.). Teleportation Scrolls are very expensive, however, and have the awful side-effect of what feels like an out-of-body experience that can linger for a while and make some people incredibly sick. For these reasons, most people choose to go by foot, ride a steed, or ride the train.

How far of a distance would the mark of the dragon glow (when the dragon is in their non-dragon form)?

As long as you can see them from where you are standing, then it should glow. Doesn’t matter how far away they are. The closer they get, however, the more intense the glow.

How long does the mark of the dragon glow and how strong?
The glow never goes out so long as they are around their partner; it even glows when they or their dragon is in dragon-form. However, the stronger the bond between dragon and rider, the weaker the glow.

How old does a rider/dragon have to be for a Partner Ceremony?
Typically sixteen to eighteen years old but sometimes it will be later in their life should something come up that stops them from hosting one.

When do riders/dragons get the mark of the dragon?
They receive it sometime during their time in their mother’s womb. So they’re born with it.

Can dragons transform at will and without having found their rider partner yet?
Yes. To both.

So clearly this is like a kingdom, medieval, and I’d like to ask if townsfolk hold hostile views towards the lgbt community during role play?
This depends on several things: Where you’re role playing (some races are supportive or indifferent), what the characters around you are like (how other people role play their characters), and how you and others role play any available PDC (Plot-Device Characters).

When dragons transform, do they lose their clothing when they go back to their non-dragon form?
No. Their clothing returns as normal as if they never transformed to begin with. Along those same lines, you can add a saddle to the dragon-form and every time the character transforms into a dragon, it’s dragon-form will have a saddle.

Can dragons (in their dragon-form) use telepathy with other dragons and riders?
No. They can only use their telepathy with their riders. They can growl/talk like a dragon to other dragons. Telepathy can also be used with people who have that ability that comes with their magic study.

Can my rider be a lover to someone else’s dragon? And vice versa?
Yep. Go for it.

Patreon and Donating

What happens if I, a Patreon member, break a rule on one of your discord groups (or multiple) or on the forum’s website?

Please refer to the Fair Usage of our Terms of Service. Even if you are a Patreon member, you are obligated to follow the rules or face the consequences like everyone else. There are no exceptions. Consequences can eventually lead to a permanent ban from everything T-DEra related (not including Patreon, unless you harass me there). You’ll have to remove yourself from our Patreon Tiers manually if you feel like you don’t want to donate anymore to us since you’ll lose your benefits.

I am a Dragon Class or Maginus Class Patreon Tier. How do I get to the discord with my benefits?
Once you join the T-DEra Patreon discord group, just add a note to the #Transfer-Request channel if I haven’t added you to the Construction Crew discord yet.

I am a Dragon Class, Theulis Class, or Maginus Class Patreon Tier. How do I obtain a private board on the forums?
Send me a message on the forums, Patreon, or Discord with the following information:

What you want to name your board.
The password you want to give the board.
Your forum username (not displayname); this one is only needed if you're me the message via patreon or discord.

I am a Dragon Class or Maginus Class Patreon Tier and I noticed that some of the early access posts on the Patreon are missing. Were they removed? Why?
Chances are I removed them because I didn't feel they were adequate or relevant to the project anymore. Usually the information provided is either outdated or had to be cancelled because of issues I or others may have in real-life.

I am a Dragon Class or Maginus Class Patreon Tier and I want to roleplay a character I created from your unreleased races within the forum. How do I go about doing that?
Send me your email and I will personally invite you. On the forums, I will send you a selection of links to profile requirements for unreleased races along with a link to the forum where you can submit the filled-out form to. I will ask that you try to keep up-to-date with your characters from unreleased races as they are bound to change over time.

You have free range to edit your (unreleased race) characters profile without administration interference to an extent: As long as it follows both current official lore and current unreleased lore, you are free to make edits as you please.

A fair warning: Upon the official release of a race that you had created a character for (back when it was unreleased), you will need to make updates to your character and submit them to the proper forum under a certain time limit (I will give you fair warning via private message in the forums). Once that time limit is up, your character will be removed from the list of Patreon Characters and you will be unable to roleplay them until you submit an official profile for them and it is accepted by the reviewers.

I have been a part of one of the tiers for a while now but I would like to withdraw. Would I still obtain my benefits?
You will receive your benefits until the next due payment. In which case, your benefits will then be removed. Any forum related benefits, such as your threads being stickied, will have the stickiness removed but the thread itself will remain.

If you are a Dragon Class or Maginus Class Patreon Tier and you have been roleplaying an unreleased race in the forums for at least a year prior to the withdrawal, your character will remain until the race is officially released.

Discord and Kahoot!

The link for the discord invite had expired. How do I join now?

Reply to the private message that you had received on the forums that has the expired link and let them know it expired. Make sure to check the forums daily to ensure that you don't miss the next time they send you an invite. If that doesn't work, you can contact me on discord.

I want to join the T-DEra+ discord. How do I join?
Have a valid state/province ID or Driver's License that includes both your picture and your birth date. You are free to use tape or paper over the rest of the information including your name, expiration date, etc. You will also need a webcam or have a built-in camera on your computer or use your phone's camera while in a live call with me or my Disciplinarians. This is where you will show us your ID/Driver's License and when we will check to make sure you are 18 or above. Once this has been confirmed and approved, you will be sent an invite to T-DEra+ via your personal discord.

What is a Kahoot! and how do I join it?
Each of our individual discord groups (depending on the amount of people on them) will have a Kahoot! once a month on different days. A Kahoot! is a fun quiz game, in this case a quiz on our lore, that we host where you can win prizes (if we have enough members participating). The next upcoming Kahoot! will always be announced under the #announcements channel on the individual groups. Shop up in the specified voice channel of that group at the time announced and follow the directions from there.

What kind of prizes can I win during a Kahoot?
First Place will receive (of their choice) either a Temporary Hybrid Character License or Temporary Character License along with (again, of their choice) either a Temporary Dragon Class License or a Temporary Rider Class License. Second Place will receive (of their choice) either a Temporary Hybrid Character License or Temporary Character License and Third Place receives g750 (our forum currency).
